Marta Romaszkan
Facilitator, Palermo & the Evolution of the City
Marta Romaszkan studied philosophy and ethnolinguistics in Poland and Paris, and has worked as a performer and dancer exploring movement research practices, teaching dance and movement, and organizing artist residencies and workshops. This shaped an intuitive, sensory way of reading space and the relationships within it — an approach she brings to her work in manual therapy, which she practices currently. She holds a Master's in Philosophy and Communication from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, and is fluent in Italian, French, and English, alongside her native Polish.
Marta has traveled extensively across Europe, Asia, and South America, and has lived in Palermo for many years, where she thinks of herself as still learning the city, still changing alongside it. To her, Palermo functions almost like an organism, built from countless small, everyday human gestures, yet never simply the sum of its parts — how much of it you see depends on how closely you look.
